TITANIC Week Eight Review

Greetings everyone,

We are beginning Week Eight of TITANIC rehearsals and it is ACTS WEEK.

Monday 26-Act One
Tuesday 27-Act Two
Wednesday 28-Act One/Paper Tech
Thursday 29-Act Two/Paper Tech
Each night we start at 7pm.
Cutaway ad of the
TITANIC

**Tuesday the 27th, the costumers have asked for the men in the show to make an appearance at the warehouse between 6pm and 7pm for costume fittings.

**Wed and Thur we will be paper teching the show-so we will probably have stops and starts for the tech crew to write cues.

**This week, the producers have asked to take some additional publicity photos.  Please come prepared to be put in costume if we ask so we can take some additional photos.

**We have NINE more rehearsals before opening night.  All the pieces are there and just waiting to be stitched together.   Rehearsals may get slightly longer this week as we put everything in place.  How much longer each night depends on our ability as a cast to focus and stay focused.

Lord Pirre (Harland & Wolff) and
Captain E.J. Smith
**For the youth/children in the show - this is an adult show with a lot of people and a lot of props, set pieces and more. Please be aware that the stage and backstage is not a playground.  Please do not pick up and play with items; please pay attention to your cues; if you are asked to move out of the way, please do so.   This is your chance to show the older actors you have the maturity to be part of a large, ensemble production.   We are happy you are here.

**The school shows are Thursday April 12th at 9:00am and 12:30pm.   We will have a rehearsal on Wed. April 11th to go over the school show program.   Please see our stage manager Breanne if you CANNOT do the school shows.   If you do not see Bre, we will be assuming you are available for the school shows!

**Everyone has done a fantastic job over the last seven weeks.   I am extremely pleased and happy with our progress as a cast/crew.   It can only get better through our continued hard work and commitment.

See you Monday at rehearsal

A message from the Composer/Lyricist of TITANIC

Received today, a message from Maury Yeston, the Composer/Lyricist of TITANIC, to share with our cast and crew!

Dear Barrow Civic Theatre,

How fantastic that you are willing to take on as challenging and daunting a presentation as Titanic!  I want to thank all of the cast, crew, musicians, stagehands, lighting and sound-people, director, choreographer, and designers for what I know will be a massive undertaking and a superb performance due to all of your efforts and talents. I am so grateful that you have chosen to invest your combined energy in the performance of my work, and I am quite sure you will be more than up to the task. I know that the beauty and love of music within each of you will radiate from your stage.

I wish you a thrilling and successful production.

SAIL ON!

Week Six of our TITANIC journey

We are entering WEEK SIX of TITANIC!   Hooray!    This week's schedule is stage review on Monday and Music review Tuesday through Thursday. ALL CAST ARE CALLED EACH NIGHT FROM HERE ON OUT. A few notes for everyone:   1.  We are now on the MAIN STAGE. Use the Back Door on Buffalo Street. Rehearsals may start to go slightly longer as we move closer to Tech Week, especially when we start running an act each night. We will try to be sensitive to time, especially with our younger actors.   2.  Set Construction will begin soon.   Stay tuned for updates as our Technical Director prepares and will need additional people to help construct.   3.  BIOS BIOS BIOS!  Not kidding here people - this is your one and only chance to get your info in the program.  If you don't turn a bio into Davin, then no bio in the program.   Think of all those disappointed family and friends who come to see you and you are missing from the program.....   4.  T-Shirt orders are due March 15th - no later.    Don't miss out on your chance to wear with pride your involvement in this fantastic show.   5.  The Grand Opening Reception of the 100th Anniversary Display is Sunday March 18th from 5pm-7pm, followed by an encore performance of the presentation at 7pm.   Cast members who would like to greet people at the display and represent the show, please talk to Ted.   Happy Week Six everyone!
